Basic Instructions for Better Volunteering

- Participate in one of the Volunteer Instructions Conference Calls.

(Participation is required for only one call. The call will last approximately 10-15 minutes)
- Wear your SBM t-shirt while volunteering (which is distributed in the registration packets).
- Report to the Registration Desk (Grand Ballroom Foyer, 2nd Floor) thirty (30) minutes before your scheduled time. Make contact with staff at the registration desk for instructions. (Any volunteer who fails to report at the designated time may be subject to removal from the volunteer program, including cancellation of waived registration).
- Report to your assigned location at least fifteen (15) minutes before the start of that event. (Any volunteer who fails to report at the designated time may be subject to removal from the volunteer program, including cancellation of waived registration).
- Volunteers may bring reading materials and a light snack to their assigned location. Please make sure to use the facilities prior to reporting to your assigned location.
- If the session you are monitoring requires a ticket for entrance, make sure that ALL participants have a ticket. If they do not, refer them to the registration desk. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
- Remain at your location at least 15-20 minutes after your official volunteer time has ended, to ensure that the volunteer following you has arrived. (Any volunteer who leaves earlier is subject to removal from the volunteer program, including cancellation of waived registration.)
- When finished with your session, return the head count sheets to staff at the Registration Desk.
- If you have any problems or issues while volunteering, contact the registration desk or Carmella Canada, Program Manager.
- Your Registration Fee, minus the T-shirt and any Seminar/Course, CE credits, boxed lunch fees will be refunded within 2 weeks following the Annual Meeting and confirmation of successful completion of volunteering duties.
- Reimbursement Notes:
- Credit Card - the refunded amount will be reimbursed to the card used at the time of payment
- Check - the refunded amount will be refunded to the address and individual listed on the check used at the time of payment
