University of Virginia: Research Specialist Intermediate

The Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control Research within the Department of Public Health Sciences and the Cancer Prevention and Control Program at the University of Virginia Cancer Center is expanding. The Center is hiring several research specialist intermediate positions.These positions will support several community-based research projects that target tobacco prevention and control cancer initiatives across a range of populations including youth, rural populations, military populations, and pregnant women. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to coordinate and support multiple projects including several National Institutes of Health (NIH), foundation grants and pilot projects. Most projects are intervention-based, including individually based telephone counseling, classroom-based interventions, and text-messaging interventions.
