Honors, Awards, and Inclusions:

David Allison, PhD, was appointed to the Board on Science,Technology, and Economic Policy (STEP) of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). Dr. Allison was also appointed to the Advisory Council for Open to Debate, a nonpartisan organization that convenes multiple perspectives to engage in respectful, structured, and civil debate about current issues.

David W. Wetter, PhD, was awarded the Senior Investigator Award for outstanding contributions to cancer prevention and control.

James F. Sallis, PhD, was quoted in “Battling loneliness: The new public health crisis.” By William Hasseltine. Forbes. May 29, 2024.

Jennifer Mandelbaum, PhD, MPH, was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives in March of this year.

Karen M. Emmons, PhD, FSBM, was appointed to the National Cancer Advisory Board.

Kristi White, PhD, ABPP, spoke about the mental health impacts of climate change, common triggers and how to cope with this type of anxiety with the University of Minnesota Medical School and M Health Fairview.

Leslie Hausmann, PhD, received a national 2023 VA Health System Impact Award.

Rena R. Wing, PhD, received the Rosenberger Medal of Honor for her pioneering research, her commitment to improving human health and her training of outstanding scientists.

Shana Beth Traina, PhD, was lauded for her work as a behavior change intelligence leader at Johnson & Johnson.
