The program objective is to provide postdoctoral fellows who aspire to be both independent investigators and team scientists in precision lifestyle medicine the opportunity to develop skills in prevention and control of cardiovascular and respiratory chronic conditions translational research. Also, we are seeking one fellow with a research interest focused on maternal health and precision lifestyle medicine.

Position description: We are seeking one full-time postdoctoral fellow to join the Digital Health & Health Disparities Research Lab. The lab is housed in the Population and Community Health Sciences Branch of the Intramural Research Program at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, National Institutes of Health. The mission of the lab is to leverage digital technologies to improve health outcomes across conditions that disproportionally affect populations experiencing health disparities. Specifically, we employ mobile technologies to monitor health conditions and behaviors and deliver personalized treatments and interventions to improve health outcomes among vulnerable populations. Current projects include (a) the design and evaluation of a just-in-time adaptive smoking cessation mobile intervention, (b) a natural history study of post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 using wearable devices, and (c) an observational study of sleep-time blood pressure using ambulatory blood pressure monitors and its association with chronic kidney disease progression.
