2023 Leadership Institute
The seventh annual Mid-Career Leadership Institute launched in March 2023 with a short virtual session, followed by introductory learning community calls and a 2-day in-person workshop held in conjunction with SBM's 2023 Annual Meeting.
The 28 Leadership Institute fellows attended sessions on:
- Understanding yourself as an emerging leader
- Creating leadership development plans
- Negotiating
- Resiliency and thriving amidst chaos
- Crafting, practicing, and executing highly effective impromptu pitches
Following the workshop, fellows participated throughout the year in individual coaching sessions, developed self-selected leadership projects under the mentorship of recognized SBM leaders, and joined periodic calls with a learning community of five to seven fellows with similar professional interests.
